Our Doctors

All doctors who undertake clinical services for Return2Play go through a thorough application process and regular ongoing checks.

This includes:

  • General Medical Council registration (with a license to practice)
  • Involvement in annual appraisal process which includes activities undertaken for Return2Play in their scope of practice
  • Identity, date of birth & address check
  • Enhanced DBS with check of children’s barred list
  • Safeguarding Children Course (Level 2 minimum)
  • Professional references
  • Qualifications check
  • Full employment review with evidence of experience in the relevant area

In addition, any doctor involved in providing match-day doctor service must have a recognised pre-hospital immediate care qualification.
