Eimear Monaghan

Eimear graduated in June 2017 with a Masters in Biochemistry (MBiochem). She then spent 3 months in the south of France in a neuroscience lab, gaining an insight into how precious the brain is.

Eimear has been brought up playing, watching and appreciating a wide range of different sports, from Rugby and Hockey to Golf and Athletics. Her main sport is Hockey. She played for her 1st XII School team and University 2nd XII. She has recently returned to the club, Purley Walcountains, where she first learnt to play and is enjoying playing with the same girls. She also learnt to row during her time at Oxford and represented her college in both collegiate racing and external regattas. Within 9 months of learning to row, she was selected to represent the Oxford Development Squad at the Henley Women’s regatta.

Using her scientific background and passion for sports, Eimear assists with creating, maintaining and improving relationships between organisations and Return2Play to ensure that grassroots sports receive the highest possible standard of medical care.
